The wash plant can be rented for $600.00
per day (with a minimum of at least 2 days) to any club or group of people, including VMRC members who might be interested. Anything found belongs to the group. Doug will supply the backhoe, material, backhoe operator and the plant, BUT , he will need a 2 week notice in advance.

Mountain Lapidary
The Lucky Strike Campground is honored to announce that Mazie Perdue , from Mountain Lapidary , has opened a shop right on the campground. She and her husband, Wayne , will be available to check your stones and advise whether they are cuttable or not. Plus, if you wish, the stone(s) can be faceted or cabbed. Also, settings are now being offered upon
request.
Mountain Lapidary also has a production of facetting machines coming out very soon. If you are interested in purchasing a machine or learning to facet or cab, talk with Mazie or Wayne. This is a wonderful opportunity, plus you will meet two the of nicest people to ever visit the Campground.

This is for any club member who is not aware of our yearly Auction
to earn money for the club. This year our club auction will be on
Sept. 3rd which is the Saturday during the 5-day Common Dig Labor
Day weekend. This is a great time for all. So if you have some
things you no longer want, you could donate them to the auction and
let it benefit the club or clubhouse. We have a great time and the
weekend is full of fun. Be sure to come if you can. 
We are
trying to see if any of the ladies in the club would be interested
in "outings", such as Chimney Rock, Grandfathers Mtn., Blowing Rock,
Spruce Pine, Biltmore and more. If so, check with: Susie Beauford -

but at this point we just want to see who would be interested. Call
